The whole problem is the government agencies will regard this as a joke and not do anything to improve the situation.

Maybe you Aussies need to take a leaf out of the Saffas' book and start toy-toyi'ing in the street and demanding your rights? ;)
Makes us all feel better to know our own administration is not the only one that is screwed up to farcical limits.
